about
This was written by someone I know who lives in Pakistan,
and who works to stop terrorism.
I was requested to rearrange it into a poem,
to write about the subject myself --
these were supposed to be ideas, inspiration, information only,
but I thought the words were perfectly poetic as is,
so I simply performed it with the feeling it gave me,
recorded and uploaded it,
hoping it will do some good ....
lyrics
When I see leaves falling from trees
autumn wind
Autumn wind has a might sword to behead them ....
I immediately connect it to my homeland
where people are falling with the sword of terrorism
kids ask their mothers
why their father was killed in the last blast, or drone
the speechless mothers have no replies but tears in their hopeless eyes
they pull the kid to their chest and hug
they kiss kids with weeping eyes
the bread winner of the family is gone
innocent soul ....
and the kid is too young to shoulder the economic issues of the family
the kid has a really terrible memory
the next morning he gets up and the first question is ....
where is my father?
where is my father?
the mother has no option but to see to the sky
with a question in her heart to God ...
what was his fault?
Why so early?
Why he?
the sky has no answers ...
earth dwellers have no answers ...
the kid has no answer ....
